VANADIS® 23 from UDDEHOLM (PM M3-II: Compare to ASP 23 and BOHLER S790)

Well suited for blanking and forming of thinner work material where a mixed (abrasive-adhesive) or abrasive type of wear is encountered. This grade is a chromium-molybdenum-tungsten-vanadium alloyed high speed steel which is characterized by:

  • High wear resistance (abrasive profile)
  • High compressive strength
  • Very good through-hardening properties
  • Good toughness
  • Very good dimensional stability on heat treat
  • Very good temper resistance
